Gazania. Gazania rigens

Native to South Africa

A very common garden plant. Mainly a problem on the central coast, invading dunes and headlands usually in exposed sunny positions.

Form: Spreading herb up to 20cm high.

Flower: Mainly yellow to orange with some creamy white varieties. Flowering all year.

Fruit/Seed: Seed disguised in hair.

Control: Hand-pull or use a mattock.
